Success Stories: Noray Seafood

Noray Seafood Chief Marketing Officer

Noray is a company that had spent almost 10 years of carefully developing their revolutionary method to breed king prawns in an aquaculture farm 1,000 kilometers away from the closest shore, deep inland on the Spanish central plateau.

After so many years of expert research and honing their method Noray came up with a product that is sustainable, natural and of great gourmet quality, it was now time to let the world know about their breakthrough product.

So Noray came to us to ask us for advice on how to start building the marketing department and put their word out there. At Asterise we knew it was challenging to find people who would want to work at a company that had just started marketing their product and with not a solid commercial team set up whatsoever. But they had an ambitious mission, and the data to prove, they wanted to become the world’s first gourmet grade quality king prawn. So we set out to find them a talented Chief Marketing Officer first, and after a conversation we presented them with a few option of people with a track record and passion for the food industry and Noray got to hire the perfect match in 2021 and is now a recognised company selling their product in top restaurants and consumer outlets.

Spotting these natural skills can be the key to finding the right fit. Look for moments when candidates seem most at ease and energized.

For example, some people are in their element at trade fairs, happily networking all day, while others get completely absorbed in designing social media content. These inclinations often show where they can excel without feeling drained.
